This will be our first  Chamber membership luncheon for 2020. \n\n\n\nSpeaker Bio: Dr. James Meza's experience in education crosses teaching and leadership positions in universities\, state department of education executive positions and pk-12 education\, including teacher\, principal and superintendent of Louisiana's largest public school district\, Jefferson Parish. He raised the district performance score from a D to a B in three years. Dr. Meza is Professor and Dean Emeritus at the University of New Orleans\, former Executive Director of BESE and Interim State Superintendent of Louisiana. He has published more than 40 articles on education reform and his work in ed reform was awarded "Innovator of the Year" by New Orleans City Business Magazine. He is currently the Executive Director of the Louisiana Superintendent's Academy.
