SUMMARY:How To Recruit\, Hire and Retain People with Disabilities
DESCRIPTION:Bossier Chamber of Commerce\, Louisiana Rehabilitation Services and the local SHRM chapter are partnering to host a for a webinar entitled "How To Recruit\, Hire and Retain People with Disabilities" for Region 7 which includes Bienville\, Bossier\, Caddo\, Claiborne\, De Soto\, Natchitoches\, Red River\, Sabine and Webster parishes.\n\n \n\nWe would like your help in promoting this webinar among your members by sending out 1\, 2 or 3 announcements promoting the webinar (see attachment).  While everyone may not have an interest\, you can expect a small number of your members to welcome this opportunity. \n\n \n\nApproximately 60 to 75 minutes in length\, this is one of ten seminars planned across the state that provide "how to"\, step by step strategies for recruiting\, hiring and retaining employees with intellectual and developmental disabilities.  Each webinar includes a local expert to provide an overview of the employment and workforce development trends in the region\, the Regional Manager for Louisiana Rehabilitation Services and a local HR professional from a SHRM chapter.\n\n \n\nThe Region 7 webinar is scheduled for Thursday\, April 29 at 2 PM CDT and I have attached graphics and copy for your use in e-newsletters or for an email to your members. \n\n \n\nWe appreciate your help in promoting this and are looking forward to help some of your members who struggle with workforce issues.
