SUMMARY:LSMSA Statewide Math Competition
DESCRIPTION:The LSMSA Math and Computer Science Department enthusiastically invites you to participate in a mathematics competition sponsored by the Louisiana School for Math\, Science\, and the Arts on Thursday\, November 16\, 2023. All activities will take place in our gymnasium and auditorium.\n\n \n\nTo be eligible to participate\, students must be in grades six through nine and may not be enrolled in\, or have already taken\, Algebra II or any higher mathematics course. Each school can bring as many students as they wish to take the Individual Test\, but only 12 students from each school may participate in the Team Competition due to space constraints.\n\n \n\nThe competition will consist of two parts: Individual and Team Competitions. The exercises in each contest will come from Algebra\, Geometry\, and other areas of mathematics. The exercises will not come from any specific curriculum.
