LSMSA will honor all veterans with an emphasis on the school&rsquo\;s second executive director\, Dr. Richard Brown\, at an annual program in the auditorium of the High School Building on Thursday\, Nov. 9 at 4:15 p.m. The event is open to the public in-person and will be livestreamed.

LSMSA&rsquo\;s second executive director Dr. Richard Brown\, who retired as a Colonel in the National Guard in 1990 after more than 30 years of service\, began LSMSA and subsequent area schools&rsquo\; Veterans'\; Day ceremonies in 1986. He believed that Veterans&rsquo\; Day ceremonies offered a way for the student body to acknowledge our military men and women and their families for their service to the United States.

&ldquo\;We are incredibly grateful for all veterans who have fought for our freedom\, including those right here in the Louisiana School family\,&rdquo\; said Steve Horton\, Executive Director of LSMSA. &ldquo\;We look forward to having the Natchitoches community join us as we honor the selfless sacrifice of those who have served.&rdquo\;
