SUMMARY:October Chamber Luncheon
DESCRIPTION:Those who want to grow their businesses and organizations sometime seek creative ways to fund their company vision. Grants can be an attractive source for financing\, because they inject capital that doesn?t have to be paid back into the business. However\, writing and winning grants can be a challenge for a new business or organization\, especially if they are unfamiliar with the lifecycle of a grant. The grant lifecycle refers to the entire process a grant goes through?from creating the opportunity through implementation and ending with the closeout. While the grant lifecycle can be long and includes some complex elements\, it also has a lot of consistency and follows a relatively linear path.\n\n\n\nFor this luncheon we will hear from experienced grant writer\, Dallas Russell\, Programs Consultant at the Ben. D. Johnson Foundation. Russell will outline for us the lifecycle of a grant\, and give insight on how grant writing can be beneficial to an organization. We will also hear from the Ben. D. Johnson Foundation Executive Director\, JoAnna Cooper\, about how grant writing has benefited their organization and programs\, including the Legacy Café.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nZoom Luncheons?
