DESCRIPTION:September 20\, 2023 marks the 50th anniversary of the tragic death of singer-songwriter Jim Croce\, and five others who died in a plane crash following his concert at Northwestern State University in Natchitoches in 1973. The program will include a screening of the documentary "The Night the Music Died" produced by NSU media students and directed by Melody Gilbert. Following the documentary will be a performance of several Croce songs by local musician Billy O'Con and a panel discussion with guests who attended or met Croce while he was in Natchitoches.\n\n \n\n5:30pm: Cocktails and appetizers provided by FLASH\n\n6:15pm: NSU student 2022 documentary\n\n"The Night the Music Died"\n\n6:35pm: Performance of several Croce songs by Billy O'Con followed by a panel discussion with guests who attended or met Croce while he was in Natchitoches.\n\n \n\nWe encourage people who attended the concert and remember this wonderful musician to come and share their memories.\n\n \n\nAdmission is $10 adults\, $5 students\, seniors\, military families and free for current FLASH members.
