DESCRIPTION:In an effort to get Louisiana businesses the economic support they need\, Act 311 of the Louisiana 2020 Regular Session set aside $275 million from the CARES Act for a small business grant program. The Louisiana Main Street Recovery Program (website www.louisianamainstreet.com/) is designed to provide financial assistance to local small businesses. Small businesses in Louisiana could get up to $15\,000 in grants for eligible expenses. The program begins accepting applications online on July 28th.\n\n\n\nAs part of this\, the Legislature has mandated that at least $40 million be allocated to minority\, women\, and veteran owned businesses in the first 60 days.
