Krewe of Waguns Children & Pet Parade
Get ready for a tail-wagging good time! The Krewe of Waguns Children & Pet Parade is set to roll through downtown Natchitoches on Saturday, March 1 at 3 PM. This family-friendly Mardi Gras Parade invites children, pets, and floats to join in the festivities.
Event Details:
- Registration: 2:00 PM
- Parade Line-Up: 2:45 PM at Bank of Montgmery (814 Washington Street)
- Parade Route:
- Start at BOM
- Head south on Front Street to Touline Street
- Turn left to the downtown riverbank stage
- Entry Fee: $10 per family
- Register your pet for a chance to earn Celebrity Status as King Rex Rufus or Queen Mutt a Gras
- Awards will be given for Best Dressed Pet Costume, Children's Costume, and Float (1st, 2nd, 3rd place)
- Gold carts are allowed if driven by an adult
- Children can ride scooters, bicycles, or wagons but must be accompanied by an adult
- ATVs are not permitted
- Don't forget to BYOB (Bring your own beads) to throw during the parade
