N-Side Engineering Technology and Advanced Manufacturing

Northwestern State University's Department of Education Technology will host N-Side Engineering Technology and Advanced Manufacturing where prospective high school students can learn about careers and scholarship opportunities, connect with faculty and network with industry professionals in the region.
N-Side Engineering Technology will be from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, March 3 in Williamson Hall on the NSU campus. Parents and guardians are encouraged to attend as well.
In addition to sharing information about degree programs in Industrial Engineering Technology and Electrical Technology and Electrical Engineering Technology, prospective students can learn about the Advanced Manufacturing Program in which participants attend class part-time and are employed part-time with an industry partner and apply what they learn in class to work experience.
Those who attend will be guided in faculty and student led small groups through ET labs for interactive demonstrations with electrical circuits, robotics, metal working, 3D printing, 3D design and industrial automation through programmable logic controllers (PLC) and motor control.
NSU recruiters will be available to answer questions about admissions, scholarships and student life at the university.
