Minimum Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Working knowledge of swimming pool equipment and pool chemistry.
  • Red Cross Lifeguard certification.
  • CPR certification.
  • Experienced in teaching and organizing swimming lessons and water exercise classes for all age groups.
  • Working knowledge of golf course management, maintenance, etiquette and rules.
  • Retail experience and money handling skills required.

 

Job Concepts

 

  • Assist with management of NSU Recreation Complex, including 18-hole golf course, Olympic size swimming pool, tennis courts, driving range, pavilion, and pro shop.
  • Supervision of student workers and wages employees assigned to assist with daily operation of recreation complex and special events.
  • Assist with management of special events and pavilion rentals including coordinating and scheduling with an on-site presence from start to finish as needed.
  • Flexible hours to facilitate day-to-day operations of facilities.
  • Assist with daily money management for golf course and pool operations.
  • Consulting and assisting with planning, preparation, scheduling, promoting, conducting, and monitoring golf, tennis and swimming activities.
  • Assist with day-to-day operations of golf course and driving range.
  • Assist with supervision and enforcement of golf course rules and regulations.
  • Responsible for pool operations, including management of pool hours, hiring and training lifeguards and water safety instructors, enforcing pool rules and regulations, and cleanliness of pool and pavilion.
  • Responsible for pool equipment maintenance and chemical applications.
  • Responsible for pro shop front desk management and event oversight at pavilion.
  • Assist with management of tennis court use, programming and special events.
