Planning Manager

Manager production planning activities and resources to reduce cost. Requires knowledge of plant capacities, equipment and processes and an understanding of their interaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Own order fulfillment and line efficiency for a poultry production plant
  • Create production schedule for poultry production plant twice daily ensuring customer needs are met, relative to operational capabilities
  • Conduct daily meetings with sales and operations to review the schedule and inventory
  • Update sales forecast with accurate estimations for bird weight and head kill
  • Work closely with operations during the day to ensure schedule adherence and order fulfillment
  • Reconcile Inventory on a daily basis to ensure no waste or spoilage
  • Advise the sales team on available to sell volumes
  • Prioritize key and strategic customers
  • Work with 6 partner plants to aid in order fulfillment
  • Spend time on the operational floor and understand the process flow of the plant
Qualifications:
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Thorough understanding of poultry industry and bird cutouts
  • Intermediate skills required for Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Advanced Excel skills preferred
  • Problem solve/root cause analysis
  • Knowledge of SAP a plus
  • High School diploma/GED required, college degree preferred

  • Base Salary: range of $79,417 - $96,491 +/- based upon experience;
