SUMMARY:NSU Brass Extravaganza
DESCRIPTION:NSU's brass ensembles will combine for a "NSU Brass Extravaganza" on Sunday\, March 16 at 1:30 p.m. in Magale Recital Hall. Admission is free and open to the public. A livestream of the concert will be available at nsula.edu/capa/capalivestream.\n\n\n\nThe concert will include the NSU Trumpet Ensemble directed by Galindo Rodriguez\, the NSU Horn Choir directed by Dr. Alexis Sczepanik\, the NSU Trombone Choir directed by Dr. J. Mark Thompson and the NSU Euphonium-Tuba Ensemble directed by Dr. Masahito Kuroda. \n\n\n\nAccording to Kuroda\, this is the first time all brass ensembles have combined for a concert. \n\n\n\nThe Trumpet Ensemble will play "BLAZON" by Gilbert Vinter and "Chase "N" Lizards" by Vern Sielert. The Horn Choir will perform "Still Waters" by Drew Phillips and "The Legend of Zelda Suite" by K. Kondo arranged by Wallace. The Trombone Choir will play "A Portrait" by George Gershwin arranged by D. Armitage. The Euphonium-Tuba Ensemble will perform "Yesterday" by John Lennon & Paul McCartney\, arranged by A. Miyagawa and "In the Mood" by Glenn Miller\, arranged by NSU music education major and member of the Tuba Ensemble Alexander Miller for this concert and is published by Sheet Music Plus (www.sheetmusicplus.com).\n\n\n\nThe concert will conclude with all ensembles combining to debut an arrangement of "Under the Sea" from the Disney classic\, "A Little Mermaid" by NSU Assistant Professor of Music Theory Adam Hudlow. The arrangement will be published by Sheet Music Plus
