Carhartt College B.A.S.S. Regional Tournament in Natchitoches

Tournament to be televised on ESPNU
 
NATCHITOCHES – The 2015 Carhartt College B.A.S.S. Series will make a stop in Natchitoches March 5 – 7, 2015 for the Central Conference Regional Tournament.  The 3-day tournament will host college anglers from Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Arkansas including the Northwestern State University Fishing Team. As part of the Carhartt College Bassmasters Series, the tournament will be televised on ESPNU.
 
“We are thrilled that the Bassmaster organization is bringing this prestigious tournament to the Red River in Natchitoches,” said Mayor Lee Posey.  “The City of Natchitoches along with the Red River Waterway Commission and Northwestern State University are excited to have this opportunity to highlight the world class venue we have here locally.”
 
The tournament will begin on Thursday, March 5 and continue through Saturday, March 7.  Boats will launch each morning of the tournament from the Grand Ecore Boat Launch on Tauzin Island Road at 6:30 a.m.  Weigh-ins for Day 1 and Day 2 of the tournament will be held at the Grand Ecore Boat Launch at 2:30 p.m.  Final weigh-in on Saturday, March 7 will be held at the Northwestern State University Athletic Field House located at 175 Sam Sibley Drive at 3:30 p.m. 
 
Please note that use of the Grand Ecore Boat Launch will be closed to the public during the tournament.  However, spectators are encouraged to attend the weigh-ins on each day of the tournament.
 
The Central Conference Regional Tournament is one of five regional tournaments taking place across the country.  The top anglers from each regional tournament qualify for the 2015 Carhartt Bassmaster College Series National Championships.
