Celebrate Halloween at YOUR Natchitoches Parish Library
We’re calling all ghosts, goblins and creatures of the night to creep, crawl, or float on over to the Natchitoches Parish Library for a week of Halloween fun and fright. The Natchitoches Parish Library is the place to be this year for Halloween fun.
The festivities kick off with Spooky Story times on October 25 and 26 at 10 a.m. The fun continues with a special Halloween skit performed by the library staff October 28 at 3:30 p.m. The skit will be followed by a Halloween Hat craft where participants will get the chance to make their own Halloween hat. So be sure and stop by for some Halloween fun and frivolity.
Then everyone is invited to join us for an Open House on October 29 from 2 - 4 p.m. Come tour the bookmobile, see our new parking lot, and learn about our newest online service, Overdrive. Overdrive will enable patrons to browse the library’s website, check out with a valid library card, and download to PC, Mac®, and many mobile devices
The Halloween festivities conclude with Trick or Treating in the library on October 31 from 3 -6 p.m. Anyone in costume can stop by the circulation desk and receive a special Halloween goodie. Afterwards don’t forget to visit us on the Bookmobile for another treat. The Bookmobile will be parked on Front Street during the City of Natchitoches’ Witch Way to Main Street from 5 - 7 p.m.
All Halloween activities at the Natchitoches Parish Library are free and open to the public. For more information about the Library’s Halloween programs, please call Amy Walmsley, NPL community outreach coordinator, at (318) 357-3280, stop by the Library at 450 Second St. in Natchitoches, or visit us online at www.youseemore.com/natchitoches.
