Children's Exhibit opens at NSU/reception today
Northwestern State University's Orville Hanchey Gallery will present "Is This Your String?," a solo exhibition by Annabel Jones.
The artist will host an opening reception from 6-9 p.m. Monday. The public is invited.
Jones is a Natchitoches-based, freelance artist beginning her career in children's book illustration. She is currently illustrating her third book on commission. She works primarily in watercolor, but has a love for oil, acrylic, and ceramic mediums.
This show is a dynamically displayed children's story based on Jones' concern for childhood imagination.
Jones' show will run through Nov. 9. Hours for Hanchey Gallery are 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 8 a.m.-noon Friday.
