'Dog and Peony Show' opening in conjunction with Gala/Reception

Northwestern State University is presenting an exhibition of work, “The Dog and Peony Show,” by painters Susan Gunther and Northwestern State Professor Emeritus Bill Bryant through Dec. 16 in the Orville Hanchey Gallery in the Fine Arts Annex. An artists’ reception will take place from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, in conjunction with the Christmas Gala. The public is invited.
“Gunther’s pieces feature her icon flora in an array of media: etchings, watercolors, photographs, drawings. Bryant’s works feature watercolors and gouche portraits of man’s best friend,” said Leslie Gruesbeck, gallery coordinator.
The show will remain through December 16. Hanchey Gallery is open to the public Monday through Thursdays from 8 am to 5 pm and Fridays from 8 am to noon.
Gallery hours are 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 8 a.m.-noon on Friday. For more information, contact Gruesbeck at (318) 357- 5476.
