“Faces of Natchitoches”, part of a citywide commemoration of Natchitoches’ 300th birthday, consists of images, artifacts, documents and memories contributed by the town’s residents and curated by the Louisiana State Museum. The exhibition is a community self-portrait, created by and for the contemporary inhabitants of the region.
Historian Joyce Miller will provide an overview of the exhibition, exploring how and why artifacts and images were selected for inclusion. The audience is invited to participant in a question and answer session following the lecture.
