Fun and Fitness Summer Day Camp at the WRAC ages 5-20

Northwstern State University’s Wellness, Recreation and Activities Center will again host its Fun and Fitness Summer Day Camp for children ages 5-10. 
 
Since 2006, more than 750 children have experienced a summer of a fun at the WRAC that includes games, group exercise and crafts in a safe and learned environment. The camp engages youngsters in a variety of physical activities to encourage a healthy lifestyle and teaches the value of sportsmanship, fairness and how to have fun when competing.  This year’s camp will also give children an opportunity to try new activities in the group exercise studio.
 
Three five-day sessions will be offered this year from 9 a.m.-4 p.m., July 9-July 13, July 16-20 and July 23-27.  Campers can be dropped as early as 8 a.m. and picked up as late as 5 p.m. if prior arrangements are made.  Campers must be age 5 during the calendar year of the camp. 
 
Each five-day session is $100 if registered before June 15 and $125 after June 15, which includes a $25 non-refundable deposit for each week.  Campers must bring their own lunch.  Afternoon snacks will be provided. 
 
Campers will participate in aerobics, sports, arts and crafts, and other fun activities.  Campers must have tennis shoes and comfortable athletic clothes that can get dirty. Sunscreen and hats are optional for outdoor activities.
