"Soul of the South" an exhibition of self-taught artists in Louisiana. While sometimes referred to as "outsider," "folk," "naive," "visionary," "nontraditional," or "unschooled," none of these terms adequately describes the art in this exhibit. Subjects range from the autobiographical work of Roy Ferdinand to Clementine Hunter's documentation of daily life on a cotton plantation.
Music starts at 7:00pm on the riverbank and fireworks are at 9:00pm.
