Jazz in th Park

The City of Natchitoches Main Street Program is sponsoring “Jazz in the Park,” a free jazz concert in Beau Jardin on Thursday, April 5.
 
Jazz in the Park is a free outdoor concert that will take place in Beau Jardin, Natchitoches’ newest garden and waterfall feature located on the north end of the downtown riverbank in the Natchitoches Historic District.
 
The concert will take place on Thursday, April 5 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The general public is invited to attend. Musical entertainment will be provided by Chico’s Quintet (+1), a young established group of musicians, portraying the sounds of Jazz, Latin, Funk and R&B. Not only do these musicians reinvent the traditional standards – their original compositions combine the old traditions of jazz to the energetic passion of today’s top hits. The group features trumpeter Carlos Ortiz IV, a Northwestern State graduate. Their music can be found on iTunes, Amazon and CD Baby.
 
Some chairs will be available for seating. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own refreshments and beverages while listening to the concert.
