Krewe of Dionysus Mardi Gras Parade

This family friendly night time parade consists of a dozen or more super floats, lots of throws including beads, cups & specialty items and marching bands & marching groups.  The Krewe gathers on Highway 1, South Drive for their float loading party early in the day and the parade begins around 5:30pm.  Families are urged to set up along the parade route and tail gate with their family & friends. The route continues along Highway 1/South Drive north to Keyser Avenue and crosses the bridge over Cane River Lake to Jefferson Street and the Landmark Historic District.  The parade winds through the historic and Front Street then turn left onto Lafayette, then take another left onto Second Street and end at City Hall.
