Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame Induction Celebration
The 2012 Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame Induction Celebration will take place in Natchitoches on June 21-23.
Activities kick off on Thursday with a press conference at The Landing Restaurant, 530 Front Street at 3 p.m. followed by a kickoff reception. Friday's activities include Championship Friday Kids Clinic and the Encana/Hall of Fame Celebrity Pro-Am Golf Scramble.
The Induction Dinner and Ceremonies will be held Saturday at the Natchitoches Events Center, 750 Second Street, with a reception and silent auction beginning at 5 p.m.
This year's Hall of Fame Inductees include Roger Carr, Warrick Dunn, Eddy Furniss, Mark Guidry, Aarson James, Deuce McAllister, Pete Richardson and Terry Robiskie. Distinguished Service Awards in Sports Journalism will be presented to Bill Bumgarner and Butch Muir. The Dave Dixon Louisiana Sports Leadership Award will be given to Dr. L.J. Mayeux.
