Lunchtime Lagniappe: The Great Depression in Natchitoches Parish, with Kevin Shannahan
The Great Depression hit rural Louisiana with particular fury. No credit, failing banks and low prices for cotton all combined to make tough times even harder. This presentation will explore the worlds of our grandparents and great grandparents who lived in Louisiana in the 1930s.
This event is free and open to the public. Visitors are welcomed to bring their lunch and eat during the presentation.
