Medicare Educational Seminar

The Natchitoches Parish Library (NPL) is expanding access to its established Medicare Educational Seminar by offering the program via Zoom for the first time, giving community members the flexibility to participate from home or wherever is the most convenient. The free seminar, led by Independent Benefits Advisor Cori Richardson, will take place Thursday, April 9, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. In-person attendance remains available at the NPL's Main Branch, located at 450 Second Street in Natchitoches.

The Medicare Educational Seminar offers clear, practical guidance on Medicare's four parts, A, B, C, and D, along with support for navigating enrollment, changing plans, and locating financial assistance for premiums, prescription drugs, and other our-of-pocket costs. Zoom participants will have the opportunity to ask Richardson questions following the live presentation, making the virtual experience as interactive as attending in person.

"After receiving requests to record the seminar or offer it at our other branch, we worked with Cori to make this available to as many people as possible," said Alan Niette, NPL Deputy Director., "Offering it via Zoom felt like the best way to do that." 

The seminar is free and open to the public. To register, call 318-238-9224. In-person attendees will be asked to provide their name and phone number for a reminder text before the event. Those participating via Zoom must register before 4 p.m. on Tuesday, April 8, to ensure they receive a meeting link prior to the event.
