Memory Painting: An Evening with Folk Artist Juanita Leonard
Driven to paint, preach, and spread the word of God, Juanita Leonard is one of Louisiana’s most visible folk artists. Leonard’s colorful paintings of farm life and her spiritual journey are distinct and can be found on boards, tins, and throughout her home and churches. On October 27, at 6:00 pm, join Dr. Shane Rasmussen at the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame and Northwest Louisiana History Museum as he introduces and interviews Juanita Leonard. Discussion with the audience to follow.
