Natchitoches Art Guild Featured Artist for May and June - Ann Harpel

Natchitoches Art Guild member Ann Harpel is Featured Artist for May and June. Harpel  who originates from New Iberia. Louisiana, is mainly an oil painter who works in acrylics from time to time. Her love of nature is evidenced in the bright hues she chooses to portray the influences in her life and in her art.

Although Harpel comes from a naturally artistic background with both her mother and grandmother as models, she embraces every opportunity to learn through workshops and regular art classes.  Her efforts have been rewarded through positive comments on her work and recognition in the annual Natchitoches Art Guild Juried Competition and Exhibition.

Ann Harpel and her husband of 43 years, currently live at Toledo Bend Lake with their dogs and a cat.  She serves as secretary of the Natchitoches Art Guild and is also a member of the Depot Art Guild in Many.
