Natchitoches Art Guild workshop

Award winning Natchitoches Art Guild member Char White will be presenting a fabric collage workshop in the gallery on Saturday, September 15^th. The workshop will include an overview on selecting and preparing materials, resource information, and instruction on creating fabric art pieces that can be framed, quilted, or incorporated with other things to create uniquely personalitems. The session will begin at 10:00 a.m. with a break for lunch at noon in one of the Front Street restaurants (Dutch treat). The group will return to the gallery at 1:00 to complete the projects. By  the end of the session which will end around 4:00 p.m., each participant will have completed an 11 x 14 art piece. A $75.00 fee for non-members covers the workshop, including all materials. Participants are encouraged to bring their own scissors, but all other supplies are provided. A maximum of 8 participants will be accommodated on a first come first serve bases. White’s fabric collage work has been recognized as a merit award winner at the Tom Peyton Art Festival in Alexandria, included in the National Collage Society exhibit, and at the National Wetlands exhibit in Lafayette, LA.
