Natchitoches Art host reception for March and April Guest Artist

Natchitoches Art Guild to host Texas neighbor as Guest Artist for March and April
Linda Henson, artist and co-owner of the Treasure Chest in Jasper, Texas, has been selected as the Guest Artist in the Natchitoches Art Gallery for the months of March and April. Henson began painting in 1981 and has been offering instruction in art since 1985. Although she attended workshops by noted artists Dalhart Windber, Dick Turner and others, she describes her style as “self-taught”. She relies on practice, hard work, her love of art, and her strong belief that her ability to capture the essence of natural beauty is a gift from the Lord.
In any given week, as many as 65 students attend classes at the Treasure Chest, a center for arts and crafts supplies and framing. Linda feels great satisfaction at helping her students find their own ways to express themselves artistically. Her work is in collections throughout the continental USA and the Natchitoches Art Guild is honored to host her exhibition.
Everyone is invited to meet Linda Henson at a reception in her honor is scheduled for Saturday, April 14, 2012, from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Natchitoches Art Gallery on Front Street.
