“The Battle of the Longs” reading and Q&A with the author Bill Nash

Join us at the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame and Northwest Louisiana  History Museum as Bill Nash discusses his new book, The Battle of the Longs:  The Politics of Gillis and Speedy Long and a bit of Russell. The Battle of the Longs features stories about the colorful cousins of Huey P. Long: Gillis, Speedy and Russell.  State Senator Gerald Long will introduce the author for the program. Learn about this interesting research on the famous Long political family, meet the author and buy a signed copy of his book.  Bill Nash grew up in DeRidder, LA.  This is the second book by Nash. In 2014 he authored High Hat Sam, life of Gov. Sam H. Jones.  Nash is a Pentecostal Pastor at Mangham where he and his wife Lee have served the past 14 years. He is an Honorary Chaplain to the Louisiana Legislature and Chaplain to the Richland Parish Sheriff's Dept.
