The Job You Will Perform:
The Manufacturing Excellence (ME) Process Engineer will be responsible for process improvement efforts in the operations area that they are assigned. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Ensuring ME principles are fully utilized in their operations area through identification of realizable gaps and development of plans to achieve targeted improvement and results.
- Management of process improvement efforts within the operations area for energy, chemicals, raw materials, reliability, productivity, quality, engagement and customers.
- Coordination of the identification, evaluation, and prioritization of operations area performance improvement opportunities.
- Demonstration of leadership in the area of safety and support broad based participation in the mill’s safety process.
- B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering or Paper Science preferred. B.S. degree in another engineering discipline accepted.
- 1 – 2 years in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Must have strong written communication and presentation skills.
- Must be action oriented and demonstrate a drive for results.
- Must demonstrate good time management skills.
