Director of Recreation and Parks

Description:
Performs a variety of complex professional and administrative work in planning, developing, scheduling, directing and implementing a year-round, city-wide recreation program. Carries out all policies of the City Council and serves as the technical advisor and recreational consultant for the community. Responsible for parks, playgrounds, program of athletics and other leisure-time and cultural activities and functions of the city. 

Education: 
Broad knowledge of such fields as accounting, marketing, business administration, finance, etc. Equivalent to a four-year college degree, plus 8 years related experience and/or training, and 5 years related management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
