Maintenance Mechanic Operator

Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor

Department: 2nd Shift Maintenance 

Job Requirements:

• Must have a good work history and attendance record
• Must have a history of safe work practices
• Must take or have taken and passed the class 'C' maintenance test
• Must be familiar with plant safety policies
• Will be required to participate on Hazwoper team. Must pass all required test to qualify for emergency response team. (for example...hazwoper training, pulmonary function testing and respirator fit testing)
• Must demonstrate the following basic electrical skills:
  • How to use a standard volt/ohm meter
  • How to use an amp probe
  • Must understand and read electrical diagrams
  • Must have troubleshooting skills of 110, 220, 48-, (3phase) electrical circuits
  • Must demonstrate basic welding skills
• Must purchase and maintain the minimum tools required to work in this position
• Must be able to work 7 day rotation schedule
• Must have basic knowledge of both first and second processing plant operations
• Will perform all other work as directed by maintenance management
• Must obey all USDA, HACCP, and PLANT rules and regulations including safety
• Must have excellent communication skills both written and oral
