Position Summary

This position will be responsible for providing management, and development of the Value Analysis program while providing support for the implementation and coordination of clinical projects identified by the internal Supply Chain team, Clinical leadership or the GPO. To be an effective part of the team; must be a self-sufficient person who can interpret facility needs, be able to effectively manage projects from beginning to end, translate objectives, execute outcomes and present project deliverables to both line staff and executive staff.

Primary Responsibilities

  1. Consults with manager regularly on operation of department – communicates issues and requirements
  2. Proficient in the utilization of Meditech to ensure data entered is accurate and detailed
  3. Serves as a clinical subject matter expert to all NRMC department directors, C-Suite and physicians.
  4. Establish, track and monitor the VAC annual performance objectives – both qualitative and quantitative – and report these on a regular basis (minimum quarterly) to the Team and Director.
  5. Develops, maintains and updates the contract conversion projects on annual project/work plan
  6. Serves as the clinical expert for the service line to the contracting team.
  7. Identifies opportunities within all service lines that assist system in lowering not only cost of supplies but also utilization of supplies and process improvement.
  8. Uses evidence-based practice to support system and facilities with value analysis committees.
  9. Collaborates with the other team members to develop overall clinical utilization strategies and effective implementation plans.
  10. Sets and achieves savings targets for service line working with GPO (Group Purchasing Organization) and clinical groups.
  11. Interfaces with various levels of management and requires external contacts with important end users, hospital executives, internal customers and suppliers to develop solutions.
  12. Uses research, data analysis and modelling to gain support for project implementation and development of project plan.
  13. Demonstrates competence to perform assigned responsibilities is a manner that meets the population-specific and developmental needs of the members served by the department.
  14. Appropriately adapts assigned assessment, treatment, and/or service methods to accommodate the unique physical, psychosocial, cultural, age-specific and other developmental needs of each member served.
  15. Takes personal responsibility to ensure compliance with all policies, procedures and standards as promulgated by state and federal agencies, the hospital, and other regulatory entities.
  16. Performs all duties in a manner that protects the confidentiality of patients and does not solicit or disclose any confidential information unless it is necessary in the performance of assigned job duties.

  18. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

 Required Education and Experience

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business or other related field.
  2. Two years of experience working with data analytics, project implementation, and interfaces within a healthcare environment.

Preferred Education and Experience

  1. Masters degree.
