Job Description:
The Managed Service Engineer will be responsible for managing, monitoring, and troubleshooting IT infrastructure and network environments for our clients. This role involved proactive maintenance, resolving technical issues, and ensuring optimal system performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT support, networking, and VoIP solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
-Provide remote and on-site IT support for clients, resolving hardware, software, and network issues
-Monitor and manage IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, cloud environments, and security systems
-Troubleshoot technical issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective solutions
-Implement and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and security protocols
-Install, configure, and support network equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VoIP systems
-Provide end-user support, including training and assistance with software applications
-Document processes, technical issues, and solutions in the ticketing system
-Stay up-to-date with emerging IT trends and best practices to enhance service delivery
Qualifications & Skills:
-2+ years of experience in a managed services or IT support role
-Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Office 365 administration
-Experience with networking protocols, firewalls, VPN configurations, and VoIP solutions
-Experience with MetaSwitch, Cisco, and Ubiquiti
-Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and compliance frameworks
-Strong troubleshooting skills with a customer-first mindset
-Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
-Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
-Relevant IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, or Cisco (preferred, but not required)
