Leasing Agent
Key Responsibilities:
- Marketing & Showings: Adertise vacant properties online or offline, promote community amenities, and conduct tours for potential renters.
- Talent Screenings: Determine applicant eligibility by running credit checks, verifying gross income, contacting references, and reviewing bank statements.
- Leasing Administration: Prepare and execute lease agreements, explain lease terms to tenants, and collect security deposits and first-month rent.
- Resident Relations: Assist existing tenants with renewals, address inquiries or complaints promptly, and coordinate move-ins and move-outs.
- Market Awareness: Stay up-to-date on local rental market conditions, competitor pricing, and leasing incentives.
- Make Ready: Help staff identify and complete tasks that need to be completed prior to move in.
- Customer Service & Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills to handle inquiries, resolve issues, and provide welcomeing tours.
- Sales & Persuasion: Strong ability to showcase property features, close deals, and meet occupancy quotas.
- Organizational Skills: High attention to detail for managing leases, logging activity in property management software, and keeping accurate tenant records.
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of local housing laws, leasing procedures, and standard property policies.
- Some light travel required.
