Bobby Benjamin Named New Principal of Natchitoches Jr. High-Frankie Ray Jackson

NATCHITOCHES, LA - The Natchitoches Parish School Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Bobby Benjamin as the new principal of Natchitoches Jr. High-Frankie Ray Jackson (NJH-FRJ), effective for the 2025-2026 school year. 

Mr. Benjamin brings a wealth of experience in education and leadership to this role. He began his career as a secretary in the Special Education Department at the Natchitoches Parish School Board Central Office. He then became a middle school English teacher and Literacy Integration Specialist at George L. Parks Elementary and Middle School. Later, he transitioned to the Frankie Ray Jackson, Sr. Technical Center, where he served first as coordinator and then as principal. His leadership journey continued at Natchitoches Central High School, where he served as assistant principal before returning to the alternative school as principal.

For the past twelve years, Mr. Benjamin has served as principal of the Natchitoches Parish Technical & Career Center. His tenure has been defined by a strong emphasis on academic growth, workforce readiness, and the development of a supportive, student-centered school culture. 

Reflecting on his transition, Mr. Benjamin shared, "After nearly twelve unforgettable years at Natchitoches Parish Technical and Career Center, I transition to Natchitoches Junior High with a heart full of gratitude. Leading NPTCC has been one of the greatest honors of my life - from watching students cross the graduation stage to celebrating our historic 'B' performance score. I am deeply thankful to the teachers, families, and community members who helped shape NPTCC into a place of opportunity and growth. As I begin this new chapter, I look forward to building strong relationships at NJH and working together to create a supportive, inclusive environment where every student can thrive."

He will succeed Alexa Bernard Conday, who will be transitioning to the role of Coordinator of Homeless Education & Parent Involvement at the Natchitoches Parish School Board.
