Chrystal Davis Named New Principal of Natchitoches Parish Technical & Career Center

NATCHITOCHES, LA - The Natchitoches Parish School Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Chrystal Davis as the new principal of the Natchitoches Parish Technical & Career Center (NPTCC), effective for the 2025-2026 school year. 

Mrs. Davis brings a strong foundation in education and leadership, with a career that spans multiple roles across the parish. She began as a first-grade teacher at Cloutierville, then became a kindergarten teacher at M.R. Weaver Elementary School.

She went on to serve as a Master Teacher at Fairview Alpha, followed by her work as a Literacy Integration Specialist for both L.P. Vaughn Elementary and Natchitoches Junior High-Frankie Ray Jackson (NJH-FRJ). Her leadership trajectory continued as the Assistant Principal at NJH-FRJ, and for the past seven years, she has served as Principal of East Natchitoches Elementary School.

During her time at East Natchitoches, Ms. Davis led initiatives to strengthen instructional practices, boost student engagement, and foster a supportive school culture. In 2022, her leadership was recognized at the district level when she was named NPSB Principal of the Year. Most recently, during the 2023-2024 school year, East Natchitoches raised its school letter grade to a C, achieved the most growth in the district (13.5 points), ranked in the top ten in the state for growth, and earned the sixth-highest elementary SPS growth score in Louisiana. Her transformational leadership has consistently reflected a commitment to academic excellence and a student-centered approach. 

She will succeed Bobby Benjamin, who will be transitioning to serve as the new principal of Natchitoches Jr. High-Frankie Ray Jackson.
