Natchitoches Area Chamber of Commerce Welcomes New Manager of Economic Development & Research

Natchitoches, LA, July 21, 2025 - The Natchitoches Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the addition of Leslie Oglesby as the new Manager of Economic Development and Research. Oglesby, a Natchitoches resident since 2000, brings with her a deep understanding of the local community, paired with a strong background in analysis, strategic planning, and data-driven development initiatives. 

With over 24 years in the banking industry, Oglesby brings deep expertise in finance, customer service, and operations that directly support the work of economic development. Her tenure as Mayor of Clarence provided meaningful experience in civic leadership, infrastructure planning, and community engagement. In addition, her success operating two local restaurants gives her valuable insight into the needs and challenges of small businesses in the Natchitoches area.

In her new role, Oglesby will lead research on local properties and development opportunities, support workforce and community outreach efforts, manage important data and communications, and assist with special projects and grant reporting to help drive economic growth.

Active in both civic and charitable efforts, Oglesby serves on the Drainage Board for the Village of Clarence and devoted nearly ten years to the March of Dimes while working at City Bank. Her diverse experience in community leadership and nonprofit engagement strengthens her ability to contribute meaningfully to the Chamber's mission.
