Natchitoches Community Invited to OMC Men's Health Fair on October 10

Outpatient Medical Center (OMC), in sponsorship with the Natchitoches Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., will host its Free Men's Health Fair on Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at 1640 Breazeale Springs Street, Natchitoches, LA 71457.

This free event is designed to encourage men to take a proactive approach to their health through education, prevention, and early detection. Studies show that men are less likely to utilize healthcare services regularly, often delaying care until health concerns become more serious. OMC hopes to change that trend by providing men with access to health information, screenings, and community resources.

Attendees will have access to free screenings, including colon, prostate, and oral cancer screenings, along with wellness information, educational resources, and community support servicers aimed at promoting healthier lifestyles. The event will also feature activities designed to make health and wellness engaging and enjoyable, including basketball shooting competitions, domino games, and other events that offer rewards and door prizes. Participants will also have the opportunity to connect with organizations and community partners dedicated to improving the health and well-being of Natchitoches.

The free event is open to men of all ages, as well as family members and supporters. OMC encourages attendees to come learn, connect, compete, and take advantage of the health resources available.
