Are you mechanically inclined, versatile, and looking for a dynamic role on a busy farming operation? We are seeking a flexible, skilled individual to join our team as a Utility Employee / Maintenance Technician.

This role is ideal for someone who can "do a little bit of everything" and thrives in an environment where no two days are the same. The position offers flexibility and may be structured as Full-Time or Part-Time, dependent upon the applicant's skills and availability.

Core Responsibilities

Equipment and Vehicle Service/Maintenance

The mechanical aspect of this job is vital. We need someone with experience in equipment service and the ability to handle everyday wear and tear.

• Tractors and Heavy Equipment: Routine service, including oil changes and preventive maintenance.

• Vehicles: Service and preventive maintenance on diesel trucks, side-by-sides, and small engines.

• Repairs: Ability to diagnose and fix common mechanical issues.

Utility and Facility Maintenance

This position includes a range of tasks that keep the farm and facility running smoothly.

• General Facility Upkeep: Maintaining the farm, facility, and equipment.

• Warehouse Duties: Potential tasks include packaging and general warehouse work.

• Repair Work: Assisting with warehouse maintenance, cooler/freezer repair, and other unpredictable daily maintenance needs.

Logistics and Driving

You will occasionally be asked to assist with logistics.

• Hauling: Driving within the state to haul product to and from the farm location.

• Vehicle Operation: Must be capable of driving 16-foot box trucks.

• Record: A good driving record is essential.

Candidate Requirements

• Mechanical Skills: Some experience in the service of equipment is required. Master mechanic status is not necessary, but proven ability to perform routine and necessary repairs is a must.

• Adaptability: Ability to adapt and handle tasks as they come up, often on an unpredictable daily basis.

• People Skills: Good interaction skills are required.

• Teamwork: Ability to work well with others.

• Schedule: Must be flexible and able to work when needed (for part-time) or commit to a full-time schedule (to be determined by skill set).
