If you are a manufacturing professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Copeland/Alliance Compressors has an exciting opportunity for you!  Based in Natchitoches, you will work in the assembly technical support team to accomplish the manufacturing goals safety, quality, productivity, and cost. Monitor key manufacturing objectives and develop and execute projects that aligns with gaps in performance.  You will direct technical planning, purchasing, installation, and qualification of new equipment and products in the assembly process.

 

AS A Production Engineer, YOU WILL:

  • Conceptualizes, develops, and initiates process improvements and cost reductions
  • Use Lean principles to reduce cycle times and reduce waste throughout the plant
  • Manage projects from concept and design to appropriation approval, qualifications and full business integration.  Will often involve leading a team through a project.
  • Self-initiate improvement and / or corrective actions for safety, quality, cost and productivity concerns using formal six sigma problem solving tools
  • Develop documentation for operators and maintenance on proper equipment operation and care
  • Update plant drawings, maintenance plans, and documentation as projects require
  • Effectively communication changes to all levels of the organization and at all stages of implementation

 

REQUIRED EDUCTION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • BS degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent engineering technology degree
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and proven leadership experience
  • Previous project management experience
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Excel and Word)
  • Self-starter able to work independently

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Previous experience in a high volume, discreet manufacturing environment
  • Experience reading electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical drawings
  • Background in robotic welding processes
  • Fanuc robotics, Allen-Bradley PLC experience
  • Previous experience with drafting software (Designer, Solid Works, NX, and Pro-E)

About our Location

Alliance Compressors is a joint venture established by Copeland HVACR, formerly Copeland Corporation (a subsidiary of Copeland).  Trane (now part of Ingersoll Rand), and Lennox International.  The partnership was formed for the purpose of developing, manufacturing, and marketing one through six-ton compressors. Scroll compressors are used in commercial and residential air conditioning units. The current facility is over 365,000 square feet of manufacturing space and over 35,000 square feet of office space. This climate-controlled facility is the third largest manufacturing business in the area and offers the 600+ employees many opportunities for advancement.
