Customer Service Specialist

If you are a people person and excel in Customer Service/Logistics Alliance has an exciting opportunity for you with room to grow! Based in our Natchitoches, LA location, you will work the Materials team in customer communications. You will assist in scheduling loads, communicating with management on delivery performance, and working closely with other departments to ensure successful planning.

 

As a Customer Service specialist, you will:

This position creates shipment plans to meet Customer demand.  Provides visibility of customer orders to Alliance in effort to maximize on-time delivery.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Update Customer orders and forecast
  • Plan shipments to meet Customer demand
  • Work closely with Warehouse single pack by planning and providing sequenced schedules
  • Conduit for communications between Customers, Warehouse and Management
  • Maintains accurate delivery performance records
  • Maintains materials records and files, both electronic and hard copy (packing slips, BOL)
  • Works closely with Material Analysts, Master Scheduling, Warehousing, Production, and Engineering Change Personnel to support on-time Customer deliveries
  • Participates in process improvement activities (Lean, 5S, Value Stream)
  • Works with 3rd party logistics to set up / track shipments (NFI Portal, LTL/TL carriers)
  • Performs all other duties as assigned

 

Required Education, Experience & Skills:

  • Two-year degree, plus 1 year experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have excellent computer skills (Microsoft Excel).
  • Customer service orientation, plus the ability to multi-task and function efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent math, analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Work authorization in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role.

 

Preferred Education, Experience & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any business discipline (Accounting, Finance, Marketing, etc.)
  • ORACLE or other ERP experience
  • Three to five years of direct customer experience in order entry-to-ship the environment.

 

Schedule

The general working hours for this role are 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Monday through Friday.

About Our Location
Alliance Compressors LLC develops, manufactures, and markets one through six-ton scroll compressors. Scroll compressors are used in commercial and residential air conditioning units. The current facility is over 365,000 square feet of manufacturing space and over 35,000 square feet of office space. This climate-controlled facility is the third-largest manufacturing business in the area, and offers its 650+ employees many opportunities for advancement.
