Northwestern State University is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Director of Marketing and Digital Media. Salary will be based upon qualifications and experience. Position will remain open until filled.

Minimum Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's degree; master's degree preferred. 
  • Excellent organization and communication skills as well as comprehensive computer skills including Microsoft products and network internet.

 

Job Concepts

 

  • To be instrumental in game management responsibilities. Perform duties at sporting events to fulfill sponsorship contracts, promotional activities and overall game management, which includes creating an atmosphere in which each athletic contest is a marketable and exciting event.
  • To assist in coordinating specific marketing and promotional activities for all sports utilizing skills in creativity, organization, ingenuity and research. This shall include creating advertising campaigns for sports and events and designing promotional materials, specifically schedule cards/posters, game day graphics, billboards, postcards, season tickets, sponsorship signage, and additional graphics/printed materials as needed.
  • To assist with all digital media, including development and oversight of social media marketing strategies. Assist with website advertisements and mobile app content management.
  • To develop and implement a comprehensive marketing plan for each sport which will create and enhance awareness of NSU and promote the University in a positive manner and through community collaboration.
  • To assist all 14 sports in the recruiting process by providing video content, signing day graphics, videoboard promotions, photos, and other items as needed during NSU official visit nights and weekends.
  • To assist in working with the students of NSU and promote athletic events and engagement to the student population through targeted promotions, events, and Demon Rewards mobile fan application.
